There are multiple types of packages for onions, both concerning the size as the material. For prepackaging, the most usual wrapping are plastic sacks, made of mesh, or tubes, and also covered plastic trays. There are 0.5, 1, 2 or 5kg plastic sacks. From 2kg and over they include handles to make their transport easier.

The packaging also admits different presentations. For onions in bulk they use mesh sacks or strip boxes. The coats can be of 10, 20, 25 or 50kg.

Prepackaged onions are put in mesh or cotton sacks, trays, returnable boxes and cardboard boxes with capacity between 100 and 350kg. In Spain they usually come in mesh sacks of 25 and 50kg.
