Pears are packaged in boxes or trays. Alveoli are often used to uniform the size.
Pears intended for arriving at the consumer are packaged in different ways, from plastic bags, one of the most economic and common uses, to cardboard, plastic or expanded polystyrene trays covered with plastic film.
In the case of packages destined to the stores, the weight varies from 5 to 20kg, within a wide range of weights in this rank; there is not a standard size of box. Pears are arranged in layers, separated by paper pads. Wood boxes are not used very often, due to their high cost. They use materials like fiber instead.
