Perforated polyethylene bags, trays covered with retractile plastic or small trays covered with unsealed plastic are used for pre-packaging.
The packing, both for produce in bulk as for pre-packaged, is made in wood or cardboard trays.
French beans in bulk are displayed without order or arranged; the latter is much more eye-catching.
French beans from transoceanic countries are generally dispatched in packages of 2.7 kg, although the packages of 5 or 6 kg are used for markets with a high consumption per capita of this product.
The recommended sizes for packages adapted to the Europallet size (800 x 1200 mm and 1000 x 1200 mm) are the following:
