The most usual package for plums is the corrugated cardboard box. The opened package is preferred, with a loose cover to remove the content easily. The flaps are also usual; they are folded and inserted to form a cover, that can be removed when the fruit is displayed. The uniformity in the calibre is important. The cell separators are frequently used. Plums can also be seen in the market in plastic baskets inside a net.
